Just a few years ago, the Ungs never imagined their life would look like this—five kids, a loud and loving home, and a front-row seat to the beauty and heartbreak of foster care. What started as a hesitant step into respite care grew into something much bigger: a calling to provide stability, safety, and love for children walking through unimaginable circumstances. As they put it, “When you open your home to foster care, you’re asking trauma and brokenness to sit next to you at the dinner table.” It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.
Their story is a powerful reminder that when we step into someone else’s brokenness, we don’t just change their lives; we also change ourselves.
